Texting terms
Last updated October 8, 2026
These terms cover the text messages Black Stack sends under its dispatch program (the "Black Stack dispatch" texts).
The program
Black Stack texts hauling orders to the drivers and trucking companies that haul for us: the job for the day (customer, time, where to load and unload, how many trucks), changes to that job, a cancellation, and a reminder at the end of the day when we have no tickets from you. Each text carries a link where you confirm the job, turn it down, and send your tickets. It is a business-to-business program for companies and drivers that work with us. It is not used for marketing.
How you agree
We text a number only after someone at your company has agreed to it: on the phone, in person or in writing, after we have read or shown them these terms and our privacy policy. We record who agreed, when and how. Agreeing to the texts is not a condition of hauling for us: an order can always be sent to you another way.
How many texts
Message frequency varies with the orders you are sent: typically one text per order, plus one for each change, cancellation or end-of-day reminder. Order texts go when the office sends them; automatic reminders are never sent between 9 PM and 7 AM and wait for the morning.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's charges for text messages are yours. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Stopping and help
- Reply STOP to any text to stop the dispatch texts to that number. You get no further texts there until you reply START. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT all work.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact Black Stack at [email protected].
Your replies
A reply of YES confirms the latest order sent to that number and NO turns it down. Anything else reaches our office. The texts are sent through a messaging platform; its delivery reports tell us whether a text arrived.
Privacy
How we handle your number and your messages is in our privacy policy. In short: no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and your opt-in and consent are shared with nobody.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date. Questions go to Black Stack at [email protected].
